If you have purchased one of these recently from a local store, they have changed the location of the mute button to the middle of the wire between the controller and the actual headset, I have one and it's a pain to use. Now this set has the mute button at the controller which makes it easy to get to fast. This setup came with the original headset when 360 first came out. This is the better headset.
